A common question we receive, particularly when some products come from distant countries like Ecuador or India, is:
"How can I be certain they're organic?"
The UK has established strict organic standards, and products originating from outside the UK must meet these criteria.
Not only is the product itself certified, but also the farm, collection, production, storage, and transportation processes.
Samples from all products are tested at SAL labs in Cambridge to ensure they are 100% organic and free from pesticides, fertilisers, heavy metals, GMOs, and other chemicals or pollutants.
Upon arrival in the UK, these tests are repeated for each product batch. More than 500 chemical residues are examined in each test, and the comprehensive SAL lab report spans nine pages of A4.
